The Bad Guys Are Winning
America is no longer home of the free or brave; we cage the vulnerable and reward cowards.
Where have the heroes gone?
Growing up, the comic book characters, Rambo, Commando, Dutch (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1987’s Predator), Chris (Charlie Sheen in Platoon), Popeye, G.I. Joe—virtually every single hero was fighting the forces of evil and the corrupt. They stood for something. They fought against tyranny, greed, and those who sought to destroy. Where have the good guys gone?
Today, malevolent figures of every shape and size are worshiped as the answer to solve our country’s problems.
We now live under the shadow of an immoral—if not amoral—president who embodies the seven deadly sins more convincingly than any leader in modern memory. He doesn't resemble the protector of liberty; he mirrors the anti-Christ, cloaked in nationalist theater and moral decay.
We have a legislature so corrupted by ambition that it’s forgotten its oath entirely—no longer stewards of governance, but hoarders of influence, treating power not as a responsibility but as spoils to be divided. Their primary duty resembles more that of a whore than an elected representative, always on their knees in an effort to "earn" more money for their already gerrymandered election campaigns.
The Judicial branch is not blind to justice—they've turned their back on her. Sometimes I wish Lady Justice would step down from her pedestal and take off that blindfold herself. I'd ask her to walk the marble halls and take inventory. I'd ask her to look at the prisons packed with the poor, the streets patrolled with impunity, the courtrooms where money talks and truth limps in late. Then I’d ask her to glance at the scales—tilted, rusted, held hostage by the rich and the powerful. What would her reaction be? Would she cry? Would she scream? Or would she draw that sword, turn to the black-robed cowards who defile her name, and cut them in half at the waist as they deserve?
And the people? Our brains have been infected by the corporate ad fungus which infects every single thing that a citizen has to interact with—from our phones, to our electric vehicles, to our reading material, to school curriculum, to the crosswalk; not one sacred thing remains in place. Not even little old ladies are safe from the revoking of the energy subsidies that prevents them from freezing to death in the winter or from being cooked alive in the summer. Even our senior citizens are being trolled by being told they have the freedom to suffer to death. At least the energy companies keep their subsidies. We might as well replace the bald eagle with a seagull.
Americans no longer hold the conviction of courage in a way that even implies sacrifice. They are not afraid to advocate for their guns against a tyrannical government—unless that government is actually delivering tyranny. Americans show courage only when punching down. The oligarchs stay untouched, unbothered, and often applauded. We have abandoned reason, we have abandoned courage, and we have abandoned virtue.
"Tyre Nichols is dead and some folks think it's ok to let some of the officers in the case walk away without further punishment. A dude who was in the country illegally but permitted to stay is in a Salvadoran terrorist prison. These things do not match. I'm pissed."
I pray at night that God softens the hearts of our leaders. I pray that He grants them the wisdom to lead with compassion—for the weak, the unprivileged, the forgotten, the ill. I pray that God gives us the courage to stand—not for ego or vengeance, but for the ones Jesus would never overlook. When will we act as we preach—not just thump the Bible, but actually follow what’s written inside it? When will we stand up for justice—not just for ourselves, but for those with no microphone, no lawyer, and no lobbyist? When will we stop making excuses for those in authority—just because they wear a badge, a robe, or a title? When will we stop treating authority like virtue, and start holding the powerful to account? Authority doesn't just imply a higher standard of conduct—it demands it. When will the people hold the government accountable? It’s time. Time to unify. It's time to make this the United States of America. The American Dream remains to be actualized: not the dream of wealth, but of worth—where the measure of a nation is how it treats its weakest.
Fuck you.
Fuck you to the justice system that knows the truth and still protects the lie.
Fuck you to the lawyers who became judges and forgot what justice was the second they put on the robe.
Fuck you to the jurors who knew better and still said “not guilty” so they could get home in time for dinner.
Fuck you to the politicians who make cruelty sound like policy.
Fuck you to the bureaucrats who trade integrity for a pension.
Fuck you to the pundits who sell outrage while the innocent rot.
Fuck you to the media who values clicks and has no respect for truth.
Fuck you to the law enforcement officials who treat justice like a squeaking mouse—something to fear, something to run from.
Fuck you to the citizens who favor intellectual laziness over the hard truth of what it takes to protect the vulnerable.
Fuck you to the fake Christians. Jesus is watching.
Fuck you to every coward with power and every coward who defends them.
Fuck you to myself for not having the courage to act.
Fuck you to the whole machine.
